ZURICH, SWITZERLAND(SMI-GLOBAL-WOMEN-SPORTS-JULY 02-27, 2025)-FIFA ranked #6, Sweden Women's national team scored 3-goals in the first half as the Swedish overcomes #3, Germany 4-1, to win Group C, with 3-victories and 9-points, advance to the Quarterfinal rounds of the UEFA Women's Euro 2025, at Stadion Letzigrund, in Zurich, Switzerland.

Sweden also known as "the Blue-Yellow" outperformed the Germans 13-9, on shots on goal and 6-4, shots on target to finish first with 3-win in the Group C, stage competition.

Germany went to the offensive from the start with two consecutive counter-attacks in the first 2' barely missing the back of the net on two shots to goal.

Forward Klara Buhl on a breakaway through the left-side corner, ran inside the 18' avading a defender and crossed it finding Jule Brand who shot a left-footed to goal saved by goalkeeper Jennifer Falk at 00:18' and 80's later, Elisa Senb passed the ball to 
striker Lea Schüller who shot a right-footed volley missing wide the right-goal post for a goal kick at 1:33' mark.

The Germans kept the pressure, and five-minute later opened the score at 7' mark through midfielder Jule Brand.A counter-attack through the middle, Lea Schuller passed the ball to Carlotta Wamser who squeezed a perfect rolling pass between two-defenders to Brand who scored with a lower right-footed to the far-goalpost in back of net for 1-0, Germany over Sweden. 

The Swedish stroke back with a goal of their own five minute later, midfielder Sjoeke
through the middle passed the ball to striker Stina Blackstenius who on a fast-break
ran inside the 18' and shot a lower right-footed to the opposite goalpost ending in back of the net to level the game 1-1, at 12' mark.

The Blue-Yellow kept the offensive momentum, and the second goal arrived through defender Smilla Holmberg at 25' mark. The goal-play was originated with defender Nathalie Björn passing the ball to Holmberg through the right-side field and who on a breakaway inside the 18'  scored with a right-footed between three defenders to upper-middle to make it 2-1, for Sweden.

Sweden took controll of the ball in the midfield, and eight-minute later, midfielder Johanna Rytting Kaneryd on fast-break through the right-side field ran inside the 18', and crossed it to Fridolina Rolfö who shot to goal with a left-footed but it was deflected out of bound by Carlotta Wamser with her hand for a red-card and penalty call in favor of the Blue-Yellow.

Fridolina Rolfö executed and converted the penalty-kick at 34' mark with a left-footed to the opposite left-goalpost to make it 3-1, for Sweden at the half.  

In the second half, both teams traded back-and-forth counter-attacks without any major danger to either goal until the Swedish scored their fourth goal through forward Lina Hurtig who entered from the bench at 80' mark.

Forward Madelen Janogy on a breakaway through the left-side field centered the ball inside the 18' finding Johanna Rytting Kaneryd who tapped the ball to Lina Hurtig and scored with a lower right-footed to sealed the 4-1, win for Sweden over Germany.
