ITHACA, NY(SMI-GLOBAL-WOMEN-SPORTS-UNIVERSITY-03-21-03.24, 2026)-The University of Pennsylvania women's gymnastic team claimed its fifth GEC conference (Gymnastic East Conference) title with an overall score of 195.025 in the 2026 GEC Gymnastic Championship while Yale took 2nd place with 194.625, in the tournament last Saturday March 21, at Newman Arena at Bartel Hall, Cornell University.
The Bulldogs who are Road to Nationals NCAA #48, finished runner-up to Penn for the fourth consecutive year at GEC championship with a team score of 194.625, followed by Brown 194.525 & Cornell 194.150 to closed-out the final results in the 2nd Session.
William & Mary led the competition with in the first session with team overall score of 193.800, followed by University of Bridgeport 192.475, Southern CT. 192.350 & West Chester registering 192.250 to closed out the overall score of the GEC conference championship.

Yale University were led by Ellie Kearns & Annie Bilbe who shared 2T on the Floor Rotation with the score 9.9000, Hana Strause ( 9.8500) took 3T in the Beam Rotation and Ellie Kearns score 9.7750 to share 4T in the Uneven Bars rotation.

Prior to the Trophy presentation to the Champion, GEC announced its Gymnastic End-of-Year awards naming Annie Bilbe (Yale Freshman) 2026 GEC Newcomer Gymnastic of the year and Yale's Assistant coach Isabelle Fox 2026 GEC Assistant Coach of the year.
Annie Bilbe First-year Annie Bilbe (Covington, La.) made an immediate and lasting impact for Yale, excelling on both vault and floor. A consistent presence in key lineup positions, Bilbe scored above 9.800 in eight of nine floor routines, reaching a career-high 9.900, which ranks as the third-highest score in program history. She finished the regular season ranked fourth in the GEC on floor (9.830 NQS).
Isabelle Fox
In her third year on staff, Isabelle Fox has made a significant impact on Yale’s program through her leadership on beam and floor. Under her guidance, Yale’s floor lineup has emerged as one of the best in the conference, ranking first in the GEC with a season-high 49.150, tied for the eighth-highest score in program history. Her impact has played a key role in Yale achieving the highest team score in program history (195.525) and a significant rise in national rankings.
Note: Sophia Dewar (Brown Floor), Nova Staruk (Bridgeport U. Vault), Jordan Barrow (Penn vault), Manama Fontana (Penn floor), and SCSU's Abby Royer (floor) were selected as part of the five GEC gymnasts that qualified for the 2026 NCAA Lexington Regionals in Kentucky.
